Adam Ewald is a Sr. Pharmaceutical Contract Portfolio Manager at Mayo Clinic. He specializes in pharmaceutical contracting, contracting strategy, and managing complex categories such as distribution, GPO arrangements, 503b compounding, IV solutions, and class of trade. Adam has extensive knowledge and experience related to the pharmaceutical industry, drug distribution, drug pricing, managed care, Group Purchasing Organizations, Pharmacy Aggregation Groups, 340b, formulary development and management, specialty pharmacy, and data service arrangements.
Adam received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas and received a Master’s in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He has worked at Mayo Clinic for 17 years, 11 of which have been in Supply Chain Management specializing in formulary management, pharmaceutical pricing, and contracting. Adam is an Instructor in Pharmacy within the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and is a recipient of the Vizient John Kim Strategic Sourcing Award. He is an active member of the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists, has served on national advisory councils and has experience presenting and teaching pharmacy finance topics.
